FIELD: chemistry; fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foam compositions, during mixing of aqueous solutions of which with air or other gas, foam is formed, used for fire extinguishing in various branches of national economy, for example, construction, chemical, petrochemical, aircraft engineering. Composition contains (wt%): alkyl sulphates of primary higher C8-C10 fatty alcohols – 0.5–25, oxyethylated sodium lauryl sulphate – 0.2–10, sodium alkyliminodipropionate – 0.05–8, carbamide – 2–15, ethylene glycol – 5–35, water – balance up to 100.
EFFECT: invention avoids dependence of foaming properties of foaming agent on water hardness, which enables operation on sea water and determines main field of use of foaming agent; when mixing components of composition, reduced viscosity of product and intensification of process of their mutual dissolution.
