FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: irradiation of the test rock mass with the flux of gamma rays of the radiation source is carried out, the fluxes of gamma radiation are recorded, and the bulk density is determined taking into account the intensities of fluxes of gamma radiation, and the bulk density of the geological material placed on a moving conveyor as part of the rock mass consisting of mineral products and the geological material is determined by the difference between DC voltage signals proportional to the intensity of direct gamma radiation passing through the rock mass, and intensity of scattered from focus gamma radiation after interaction with the mineral products, at that the flux of gamma-rays of the radiation source is directed vertically upwards along the longitudinal axis of the conveyor.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurement of density of the geological material as part of the rock mass during transportation of it on the belt conveyor.
