FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of estimating sorption ability of cell, which includes blood sampling, mixing and incubation of erythrocyte suspension with dye solution, centrifugation of mixture, determination of optic density of supernatant liquid and calculation of sorption capability by formula. Preliminarily suspension of erythrocytes is diluted with physiological solution until their content is 5x107, obtained suspension is mixed in ratio 1:1 with physiological solution, which contains 0.005% of Alcian blue, obtained mixture is incubated at temperature 21-24°C, after that, centrifugated at 1000 rev/min, after which optic density of supernatant liquid is determined at wavelength 617 nm, and sorption capability is calculated by formula, if index Isorp is equal or is lower than 1.0, sorption capability is estimated as normal, if Isorp is higher than 1.0 - as reduced.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to estimate state of cell protective layer due to determination of sorption capability of near-membrane cell layer - glycocalyx.
