FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method is realised through faster and more accurate further determination of the value and sign of the mismatch error between true and real values of heading and glide path at the final landing phase of the aircraft; mismatch errors of the desired sign are formed at the outputs of two phase detectors that are: one load of two identical heading radar stations, the antennae of which lie on an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft, and the second is a load of two identical glide path radar stations, the antennae of which lie on an axis parallel to the vertical axis of the aircraft, wherein each of the four spaced-apart radar stations emits continuous frequency-modulated signals on a one-way saw-tooth linearly rising law towards a radio-frequency wave reflector mounted at the beginning of the runway strip of the aerodrome, on its longitudinal axis. The disclosed methods are realised using apparatus for determining the sign and value of deviation of the aircraft from the heading at the final landing phase on an aerodrome and apparatus for determining the sign and value of deviation of the aircraft from the glide path at the final landing phase on an aerodrome.
EFFECT: high reliability of landing aircraft.
