FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and may be used in cold strip rolling at continuous wide-strip continuous and reversing rolling mills. Cold strip rolling at continuous wide-strip continuous and reversing rolling mills comprises presetting roll space at strip rolling at threading speed and subsequent rolling at speed higher than threading speed. Note here that front and rear tension in rolling is kept at the level of 0.2-0.4 to 0.3-0.5 of yield point of strip appropriate section. Note also that roll space in rolling is set equal to: S=S0+k·10-3·V, where S0 is roll space set at threading speed, mm; k=3.5÷5.5 is proportionality factor depending upon strip cold work degree; V is roll peripheral speed, m/s. Note here that the smaller value relates to strip with cold work smaller than 55% while larger values relates to cold work larger than 75%.
EFFECT: decreased lengthwise gage interference.
