FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: cutting tool comprises holder and cutting plate retained in the seat arranged between holder top and bottom clamps. Note here that top clamp includes bottom surface. Bottom clamp includes top surface facing the bottom surface and ledge arranged nearby holder front end. Note here that front bearing surface inclined at the first angle to feed direction and rear bearing surface inclined at the second angle of feed direction. Note also that top clamp has free end arranged in lengthwise direction behind the front ledge, rear ledge separated from front ledge by recess at bottom clamp and having bearing surface. Note that cutting plate comprises top surface, bottom surface and peripheral lateral surface extending there between, at least one cutting part adjoining the root part, recess at bottom surface located nearby at least one cutting part and having front bearing surface inclined at the first angle to root section bottom edge and rear bearing surface inclined at the second angle to root part bottom surface. Note here that said first angle is larger than the second angle. Bottom bearing surface is composed of lengthwise groove at bottom surface extending along root part while top bearing surface is composed of lengthwise groove at top surface extending along root section. Note also that at least one bottom surface front section of top clamp adjoins the cutting plate top surface top bearing surface. Front bearing surface of front ledge adjoins the recess rear bearing surface while rear ledge bearing surface adjoins the bottom bearing surface.
