FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cutting plate has the rhomboid opposed top and bottom surfaces and the peripheral surface extending there between, with alternating obtuse and acute angle surfaces. The cutting edge at the top is formed at the intersection on the upper surface with each of the two acute angle surfaces. The bottom surface includes the base ssurface with a central ledge and strictly two gearing ledges protruding therefrom. Each gearing ledge extends from the central ledge to the intersection with an appropriate acute angle surface, and the base surface is divided into two basic sub-surfaces. The plate can be pressed against the mounting surface of the holder socket only by means of the gearing ledge positioned closest to the working cutting edge at the top and contacting with the only corresponding engagement groove, and two base sub-surfaces contacting with two coplanar protruding support surfaces.
EFFECT: high level of fixation stability and resistance to transverse cutting forces is achieved.
