FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: device is formed by a sliding gate or parallelepiped like device or a plate moved by a stock. At that the stock moves lengthwise parallel to the wall of coke furnace chamber so that the plates move from secondary air holes opening and closing them. The stock moves due to positioning motor, and power is supplied by hydraulic or pneumatic devices.
EFFECT: optimising secondary heating providing even heating on all the sides, improving coke quality.
