FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: installation for drying bulk raw material contains a chamber made of a reflective material where a two-level endless conveyor is installed with a manipulator between them, IR radiators distributed over their carrier belt under a screen, a devices for charging and discharge of material being treated and a blower in the chamber bottom volume. The novelty consists in the fact that the manipulator is designed in the form of a wedge positioned over the transporter Teflon belt at a eight equal to 1/3-1/2 of the thickness of the layers of the material being treated, dividing the transloading tray in the longitudinal direction, every flow of it equipped with a sliding gate mounted over the lower conveyor, the second clearance in the direction of its travel relative to the first clearance exceeded 2-3 times; the IR radiators with wavelength equal to 1.5-3.0 mcm are installed over the conveyor Teflon belt at a height of 50-80 mm for treatment of a layer of wheat germs with length equal to10-20 mm; the IR radiation thermal flux density in the chamber lower tier is set to be 20% as compared to the upper tier.
EFFECT: invention is to ensure uniform drying, removing bound moisture without structural protein denaturation or native vitamins destruction.
