FIELD: test engineering.

SUBSTANCE: pipe is clamped by the mandrels at its both ends, centred and sealed, after which the pipe is filled with water in two stages, at that at the first stage, the pipe is filled with water through the hole in one of the mandrels not below the level of overlap of the hole, but below the hole for discharging air from the pipe in the other mandrel. Then exposure is performed for about 8-10 seconds, during which the water in the pipe calms and the air is continued to be discharged out of the pipe. At the second stage, the water is additionally supplied in the part of the pipe filled with calm water, during which the water and air are not mixed, and the air is completely released from the pipe. After the end of the air release the hole of air exhaust is blocked. Then in the pipe the pressure is created necessary for tests, under which the pipe is kept, and then the control of the results of leak testing of the pipe is carried out.

EFFECT: increased productivity of leak testing of pipes due to accelerating the release of air from the pipe in the process of testing.
