SUBSTANCE: apparatus for diagnostic display, having: a detector array which includes individual detector elements (16), for receiving radiation events from a scanning region (18); an initiating processor (20) for assigning timestamps to detected potential events; an event verification processor (24) which applies verification criteria to channel peaks of the measuring element; an event conversion processor (30) which converts detected events and corresponding response lines to spatially displaced converted events; buffer memory (32) for storing events in form of a list for storing real events, having a timestamp; an reconstruction processor (34) for reconstructing real events in form of an image of the scanning region (18); and further includes: an image analysis processor (38), which analyses the image reconstructed by the reconstruction processor (34) for motion artefacts and recognises radiation events for conversion by the event conversion processor (30); wherein analysis through the image analysis processor (38) is applied multiple times in order to reduce artefacts in the reconstructed image with each repetition.
