FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: transformer comprises an active part made in the form of a magnetic conductor and separated from each other by means of winding insulation made from thermoplastic material, primary and secondary windings, and the active part is installed in the body. The body is made from at least two layers. The inner layer is made of resilient electric insulation elastic material. The external layer, which is also electric insulating and protective against mechanical and atmospheric effects, is made of thermoplastic material. The body comprises the third additional electric insulating layer made of silicon rubber and is placed between inner and outer layers. Thickness of the additional intermediate layer ha is selected from the ratio: ha≤ho≤hi, where hi - thickness of the inner insulating layer; ho - thickness of the outer insulating layer; ha - thickness of the additional intermediate insulating layer.

EFFECT: increased electric strength and operational reliability, with increased voltage and preservation of practically invariable weight and dimensional characteristics due to reduction of thickness of intermediate layer insulation.
