FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of electron beam welding with control over electron beam specific power in welding can be used for production of welded parts of structural materials. Variable component signal is isolated from the secondary current oscillation spectrum including frequency band incorporating spectral density peak to be statistically processed. Empiric densities of said signal distribution in amplitude band are constructed. Then, depending upon measured empiric distribution densities, e.g. dispersion, means square deviation, modal empiric distribution density in a mode or ratio between distribution density to means square deviation or to dispersion and appearance of empiric distribution density, focusing current is set to comply with maximum specific power of electronic beam.
EFFECT: higher electron beam welding performances.
