FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in use of weighing sections containing weight measuring devices. In order to evaluate the weight of the weighed freight car, weight data of only those weighing sections is collected, on which wheels of the weighed car stand. Weighing sections are installed in series into the cross section of the railway so that the weighed car is arranged on them with all the wheels, and wheel pairs of each neighbouring car coupled to the weighed car do not touch the sections participating in weighing process. Lengths of weighing sections are chosen so that one or more weighing sections in which at the specified time interval there arranged are only wheel pairs of the weighed car are used when the train set of cars is passing through weighing sections for each car at the time interval specified for measurement of the car weight.

EFFECT: possible weight measurement of train sets of cars without their uncoupling and with a large car positioning allowance, which consist particularly of various types of railway units of the railway equipment with different base.
