FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: measuring method of equivalent temperature involves automatic correction of calibration characteristic of an operating pyrometer prior to measurements as per a built-in reference source, measurement of equivalent temperature of the investigated object as per its emission and periodic calibration of the pyrometer, which is performed under working conditions by means of equivalent temperature measurements of the built-in reference source with the operating pyrometer and an external reference pyrometer having normalised metrological characteristics for working conditions, comparison of the obtained values of equivalent temperatures and introduction of corrections to results of further measurements.

EFFECT: providing possible improvement of accuracy and stability of measurement.
