SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Bar is composed of two parts 1, 2 of thin-sheet steel section with rectangular surfaces 4-7, 8, 9 and islands for interconnection of flat near-butt islands 10-15 by stepwise contact welding with rectangular surfaces, i.e. flanging 16-26 and 27, 28. First part section 1 is rolled in crosswise direction in normal to rectangular surfaces 4-7 and rectangular surfaces 8-9, the later forming arched profile 13, and relative to central axis 3 and to rectangular surfaces 10-12 of second part 2. Second part Z-like ledge is made by rolling in direction perpendicular to circular rounding 27-28. Surfaces of near-butt islands 10-15 are tightly compressed for making stepwise contact welding with pitch interval equal to 15-20 mm.

EFFECT: maximum rate of jointing at sufficient strength.
