FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: vehicle detectors to detect and identify the vehicle and to probe its parking position space by radio signals are set at predefined points of preset road section to be crossed by said vehicle. Vehicles are equipped with their identifiers. Identifies of vehicles getting into probing zone generate answer signals containing code word with ID data of appropriate vehicle. Said answer signals are detected and decoded by means of detectors, signal receipt time being adequately registered and mean time of vehicle run at preset road section being computed. In case said time exceeds design mean vehicle run time at said section, this vehicle is considered parked.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and reliability of parking control.
