FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to identification of transport facilities and may be used in antitheft systems. Transport facility license plate is provided with passive responder with antenna. Radio sounding is carried out by irradiating passive responder by radio signal to generate code word containing data on transport facility. Generated electric signal is re-irradiated, received by transceiver channel antenna for encoded data on transport facility to be deciphered. Note here that sounding transceiver is mounted on transport facility incorporating nonvolatile memory whereto data on transport facility are entered. Received data are compared with those stored in sounding unit nonvolatile memory. Comparison results are used to make decision on using transport facility or prohibiting its operation. Sounding, signal reception and comparison are performed at the start of and/or in operation.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of identification.
