SUBSTANCE: method of checking radio link in a wireless communication system includes estimating a first indicator channel error coefficient, wherein the indicator channel includes an indication on the number of symbols in the control channel, estimating a second control channel error coefficient, combining the first and second error coefficients to obtain a working characteristic, and determining whether there is a fault on the radio link based on the working characteristic, wherein the first and second error coefficients are based at least in part on corresponding reference signals situated at opposite sides of the indicator channel and the control channel.
