FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless communication. A method for monitoring a radio link in a new radio (NR) communication system performed at a user equipment (UE) (110) includes the steps of obtaining (701) one or more radio link monitoring configurations, each radio link monitoring configuration being associated with at least one part of the bandwidth; determining (702), upon receiving the L1 control signal or using a timer-based decision, that the UE is to switch from the original portion of the bandwidth to the target portion of the bandwidth; and performing (703) monitoring the radio link on the target bandwidth portion in accordance with the obtained radio link monitoring configuration associated with the target bandwidth portion.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide an effective change in the configuration of the monitoring of the radio link / failure of the radio link when the UE changes a part of the bandwidth, avoiding frequent intervals between measurements without excessive additional signaling.
