SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. In method realisation first representative selection of patients with specified diagnosis is formed for all pathologies with different degrees of optic nerve affection, data of clinical examinations of each patient from said selection are obtained. Shooting of optic nerve disk is performed for each patient. Obtained pictures are processed and parameters of distribution of three main colours in a picture of optic nerve disk are determined. Said data and data of clinical examinations are used to create and teach a number of neuron nets for determination of cause and degree of optic nerve affection. After that, similar examinations are performed to a patient. Vector of parameters of distribution of three main colours in optic nerve picture and data of clinical examination of patient are supplied to input of previously taught neuron nets, involved by selected algorithm of setting diagnoses of optic nerve pathologies, and, depending on outputs of neuron nets of ensemble, formation of diagnosis of optic nerve pathology is performed.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase accuracy of diagnostics of various pathologies of optic nerve and ensure possibilities of setting more complex diagnosis, taking into account both caused of disease and degree of optic nerve affection.
