SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to restorative medicine, neurology, and can be used in the implementation of the correction of imbalance and ambulation disorder in patients with vestibulo-atactic syndrome. For this purpose, a method for the correction of imbalance and ambulation disorder in such patients is proposed, including the execution of vestibular correcting exercises. Set of exercises includes: standing on the canvas, including standing with the right, and then left arm aside; standing on the canvas with arms extended forward; moving the center of gravity, standing on the canvas, on the right and left foot alternately; moving the center of gravity standing on the canvas forward with toe lining position and a further rolling to heels; displacement of the center of gravity in the vertical plane through light jerky movements from the canvas; walking on the canvas with legs shoulder width apart, and also putting the legs in a tandem position. In this exercise performed by the device, which contains a support surface, located at a height of 70 ± 10 cm and made in the form of a rectangular soft canvas stretched on a frame with a size of 2 ± 0.5 x 4 ± 0.5 m. Device additionally contains a mechanism that regulates the height of the canvas, is equipped with a security system in the form of rope handrails and contains a ladder.

EFFECT: use of the invention make it possible to effectively treat the vestibular-atactic syndrome in this category of patients by ensuring the load on the coordinating structures of the patient due to the dosed taking patient's center of gravity beyond the support area while maintaining balance while reducing the risk of falling, without the presence of highly qualified personnel.
