FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: cleaned feed gas is removed from a recovery zone and returned to the recovery zone with a hydrocarbon additive. Besides, cleaned feed gas is mixed first with hydrocarbons and then with reducing gas having the temperature that is higher than 1000°C and obtained partial oxidation of hydrocarbons with oxygen-containing gas that has oxygen content that is higher than 90 vol %, for formation of a recirculating gas with the temperature of more than 800°C, and recirculating gas is returned to the recovery zone after the autoreforming process.
EFFECT: proposed method requires no expensive removal of hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides, thus allowing to save capital costs and to avoid accumulations of residual gas due to removal of hydrocarbons; as a result of reforming with higher hydrocarbons and use for recovery, lower hydrocarbon emissions are obtained; efficiency is increased at creation of the heat required for reforming.
