FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves electrolytic acquisition of a thin layer of titanium nitride on titanium surface; with that, formation of a coating is performed using a method of anodic polarisation at direct current in electrolytes based on polar organic solvents with water addition in presence of 0.1-0.5 wt % of electrically conducting additives with bubbling by nitrogen-containing gas; besides, electrolysis is performed at electrolyte room temperature.

EFFECT: obtaining thin, dense, uniform layers of titanium nitride of various thickness, including on parts of different configuration.
