FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: wind engine comprises a vertical shaft, radial frames attached to it, a source of high voltage, a tail section, a collecting brush, contact arcs, a dielectric bushing, current-conducting sieves and needle electrodes. The collecting brush is mechanically connected with the tail section, attached to the outlet of the high voltage source and is installed as capable of contact with contact arcs. Contact arcs are arranged coaxially with displacement relative to each other on the dielectric bushing. The dielectric bushing is put onto the vertical shaft. Current-conducting sieves are fixed on radial frames and are electrically insulated from each other. Needle electrodes are installed on current-conducting sieves perpendicularly to their plane and are faced with sharp ends opposite to the direction of vertical shaft rotation. Each current-conducting sieve is electrically connected with its contact arc.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and efficiency of a wind engine.
