FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: on the sphere circumscribed around the measure from its centre they install at least 6 sample three-component magnetometers, with the help of which they exclude external noise from calibration results. Corrections are made to readings of sample magnetometers according to induction from the measure, the average corrected reading is calculated, which is added to values reproduced by measure windings in the internal orthogonal system of coordinates of its centre, and the disturbing matrix of the calibrated magnetometer is found. After disconnection of the working windings of the measure, zero offset of the calibrated magnetometer is determined. All subsequent results of measurement by this magnetometer are corrected according to calibration results.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of magnetometer calibration in places with high levels of industrial magnetic noise.
