FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: generation method of emission on resonant junctions of atoms of metals in an arc discharge of low voltage involves excitation with an alternating-sign longitudinal electric discharge of high frequency of mixtures of inert gases with pairs of metals; with that, excitation of discharge is performed with rectangular current pulses with pulse ratio of not more than 2.0 and duration of not more than effective life time of resonant state of emitting metal atom.

EFFECT: increasing efficiency and resource of emission sources on resonant junctions of metal atoms, which are excited in a low-voltage arc discharge.
