SUBSTANCE: in a method of generating broadband high-brightness optical radiation including creating an initial ionization in a chamber filled with a high-pressure gas mixture, lighting a camera with a focused beam of a continuous laser with the focal region located in the chamber, drawing broadband optical radiation from the focal region of the laser, the laser power changes periodically from the minimum value of P1 up to the maximum value of P2. The ratio of the maximum laser power to the minimum P2/P1≥1.5.

EFFECT: increasing the spectral brightness, stabilizing the plasma position, increasing the resource of the broadband optical radiation source.
