FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of spherical powders for small arms. Stable physical-chemical and ballistic properties of spherical powders are ensured by mixing water with steam in steam jet heater wherefrom heat carrier escapes with preset temperature and gets into reactor jacket. Heat carrier is forced by pump via pipeline into steam jet heater for nozzle to increase the heat carrier rate. Simultaneously, pressurized steam is fed into heater intake chamber. Heat carrier flows from the nozzle together with steam to mixing chamber, its length making 4-5 diameters of pipeline and its ID making 0.7-0.8 of pipeline diameter. Downstream of said mixing chamber, flow expands to pipeline initial ID to feed heat carrier into reactor jacket.
EFFECT: stable physical-chemical and ballistic properties of spherical powders.
