FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of ceramic insert for moulding the cavity in drill bit body to fitting replaceable part therein. Ceramic particles are ground to diameter smaller than 150 mcm while resin particles to diameter smaller than 100 mcm. Ground both particles are mixed to feed produced mix in mould cavity that forms required replaceable part, for example, drill bit or nozzle. Then, resin is compacted and cured. Said insert may contain reinforcement fibers or graphite core and ceramic shell. Reinforcement fibers are added to powder mix prior to its compaction. To make said graphite core, cylindrical graphite element is placed ion the mould to fill powder mix therein for its to enclose said element.
EFFECT: optimum mechanical strength, ease of insert removal.
