FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device for ice removal from roofs of buildings and structures applies differences of day and night temperature of environment. The device comprises a damaging element, which performs mechanical action at ice formations, a drive made of a reservoir, in which there is a working substance that varies its volume at the moment of phase transition from the liquid condition into the solid one and back, and a transmission that converts energy released at the moment of phase transition into movement of the damaging element.

EFFECT: reduced energy inputs during removal of ice from a roof.
