FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device to remove icicles from a building roof comprises one steel wire rope arranged under a building roof ledge, being connected with a drive and a spring mechanism for return of the rope into the initial position and with levers arranged in the horizontal plane at sharp angles to normal lines to the building wall with the possibility of their hinged rotation relative to the building roof. At the same time each lever is made as single-arm and of angular profile in plan with alignment of their protruding part in parallel to the rope hingedly fixed on its end to the side, which is opposite to direction of its displacement when removing icicles. Levers are hingedly fixed on the building wall with the value of sharp angles, and between the levers in their initial position and normal lines to the building wall equal to not more than 15 degrees, and the ratio of the length b of the protruding part of the lever to the length, and its main part is accepted as at least b/a=0.3.

EFFECT: reduced operational expenses for cleaning of a roof ledge from icicles.
