BIPOLAR RADIO-FREQUENCY ABLATIVE INSTRUMENT Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B18/12 A61B18/14

Abstract RU 2499574 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to surgical instruments, systems and methods of ablation of malignant tumors. Electro-surgical bipolar ablative instrument contains handle, two electrode units and two ablative active electrodes placed at distance 2.2-3.2 mm, in parallel way on displaced distance from handle axis of 10 to 30 mm, at angle about 45°. System includes instrument with power source to produce level of radio frequency power from 10 W to 20 W, with working frequency from 800 MHz to 6.0 GHz.

EFFECT: method of transdermal ablation of one of malignant tumor nodules under ultrasonic control for 30 seconds makes peripheral injuries of surrounding healthy tissues minimal.
