FIELD: medical technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology. The electrosurgical instrument has a radiating part of the tip capable of performing tissue ablation using microwave energy and electroporation (for example, non-thermal irreversible electroporation) in a minimally invasive way. The radiating part of the tip may be sized to be inserted into the pancreas by means of a surgical viewing device to provide a fast and accurate alternative to known RF ablation methods.
EFFECT: due to the possibility of treating tumors in the pancreas using a minimally invasive procedure, it may be advisable to use ablation and/or electroporation therapy for both therapeutic and palliative purposes.
