FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: strip is subjected to multipass reduction at finishing train of continuous wide-strip rolling mill and cooling by feeding cooling water between trains and at collecting roller table at specified finishing temperatures and those of strip coiling. Note here that, additionally, strip is cooled by hollow rolls filled with heat exchange elements to force turbulent flow of coolant there through, for example, water, and to be pressed against, at least, one side of the strip. Specific consumption of cooling water is maintained equal to 10-130 m3/m2·h while hollow rolls at collecting roller table are alternated with transfer rolls.
EFFECT: higher strength of strip and speed of rolling mill.
