FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reversible temperature colour indicator based on a monohydrate of hexa(isothiocyanato)chromate (III) diaquatris(nicotinic acid)neodymium (III). The indicator has reversible colour change when heated to 140°C, and its composition is characterised by the chemical formula [Nd(C6H5NO2)3(H2O)2][Cr(NCS)6]H2O.
EFFECT: novel reversible thermochromic material, capable of reversibly changing its colour when heated, which is available and easy to use in practice.
