FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemistry, more specifically to a new thermochromic reversible indicator, and can be used for marks, visual control, indication of temperature and temperature fields in various technological processes. According to the declared solution, potassium hexa(isothiocyanato)chromate(III) and nicotinic acid, produced by the industry as an inexpensive drug (vitamin PP), are used as starting substances, which determines its low cost and availability. The resulting substance is stable during storage, non-toxic and odorless.
EFFECT: creation of a new reversible thermochromic indicator based on hexa(isothiocyanato)chromate(III)diaquatris(nicotinic acid)dysprosium(III) sesquihydrate sesquihydrate, which has the ability to reversibly change color when heated to a temperature of 128°C, available in production and easy to use in practice.
