METHOD OF SELECTING TACTICS FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SECONDARY EXOTROPIA, WHICH DEVELOPED AS RESULT OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF CONCOMITANT ESOTROPIA BY METHOD OF TWO-LATERAL RECESSION OF INTERNAL RECTI MUSCLES Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2500373 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be applied for correction of secondary exotropia, which developed after surgical treatment of exotropia by method of two-lateral recession of internal recti muscles. Volume of inward mobility of eye balls, angle of strabismus, width of palpebral fissures are determined. Surgical treatment is performed on the eye with greater limitation of inward mobility. In case if internal restus muscle is attached at 4 mm and less from the place of its anatomical attachment, angle of strabismus being larger than 10° according to Girshberg and width of palpebral fissure of operated eye larger than that of the paired eye, resection and anteropositioning of internal rectus muscle to the place of its anatomical attachment is performed; if internal rectus muscle is attached at 4 mm and less from the place of its anatomical attachment, angle of strabismus being larger than 10° according to Girshberg and equal width of palpebral fissure, anteropositioning of internal rectus muscle to the place of its anatomical attachment and recession of external rectus muscle of the same eye are performed; if internal rectus muscle is attached at more than 4 mm from the place of its anatomical attachment, irrespective of angle of strabismus and width of palpebral fissure, anteropositioning of internal rectus muscle is performed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to normalise mobility of eye balls.
