FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in internal combustion engines (ICE). A gas distributing mechanism of an ICE comprises a distributing shaft (21) with cams (20), interacting with some of arms of yokes (14) and (15), hingedly installed on axes (16), placed in a head (1) of a cylinder block. Yokes (14) and (15) with their other arms contact with rods (8) and (9) of the valves (6) and (7) relative to the head (1) of the cylinder block. Axes (16) of yokes are made of an elastic material and in sections of their contact with yokes and the head of the block are equipped with splints (17), which are mutually connected with responsive splints cut in yokes and the head. Rods (8) and (9) of the valves on their ends have ledges of spherical shape that produce kinematic pairs with one of arms of yokes via bodies of cup-like shape with locks that are rigidly fixed on the latter.
EFFECT: simplified design of a gas distributing mechanism due to elimination of helical springs of valves.
