FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic flow meter, comprising a rectilinear flow path - a pipeline, the first and second electroacoustic sensors placed in appropriate bodies, installed inside the flow path at the distance from each other, each sensor is connected with a metering unit. At the same time between sensors in the flow path there is an insert tube, the inner cross section of which is made in the form of an equilateral polygon with rounded angles. At the same time the cross section of the insert tube in direction from the first sensor to the second one is made as narrowing, at each end wall of the insert tube in its lower part there are shelves facing outside towards the nearest sensor, the inner cavity of the insert tube forms a measurement zone. The body of each sensor has a streamlined shape that smoothly expands in direction towards the measurement zone. Sensors are installed symmetrically in respect to the insert tube.

EFFECT: expansion of arsenal of facilities for straightening of a flow in ultrasonic flow meters, simplified design of a device and increased extent of flow levelling.
