FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method to manipulate capacity of a nuclear power unit with a gas turbine energy converter includes agreed variation of nuclear reactor capacity and filling of the secondary circuit with gas under stable temperatures in the nuclear reactor and preservation of nuclear power unit efficiency in the load range. By a signal from the electric network on the level of the consumed capacity, they vary the level of nuclear power unit capacity with the help of an automatic system of nuclear power unit capacity control (6) to the level corresponding to the level of the load in the network, by means of balanced variation of density of neutron flux in the reactor core (7), the flow rate of the primary circuit coolant (4) and pressure of the secondary circuit gas (5) by signals of the automatic system of nuclear power unit capacity control (6), sent along the lines with feedback (11) for control of neutron flux density, circulation of the primary circuit coolant, pressure of gas of the secondary circuit and flow rate of cooling system coolant.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of a power unit.
