FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: battery charging device (2) equipped with AC-to-DC converter charges storage battery module (1) consisting of many single elements (10). Each of single elements (10) is parallel to stabilised voltage scheme (33), composed of stabilitron (332) and resistor (331), which are connected in series, and single element (10) that has achieved full charging state, is detected based on difference between potentials on both sides of resistor (331). As far as controller (3) of the battery reduces charging power used with battery charging device (2), in response to the achieved state of complete charge there provided is the fact that storage battery module (1) is charged completely, thus preventing overcharging of individual single elements (10).
