FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and serves to up the mechanical properties of wirer reinforcements, mainly, of 9th-set of diameters (over 8.0 mm) and to down production costs. These are ensured by performing two-pass radial straining with equal drawing made before shaping and simultaneous application of shear stress by sign-variable plastic torsion in opposite directions in every pass to specified depth over cross-section. Proposed method comprises drawing of billet from high-carbon sorbitised-structure steel and its shaping.
EFFECT: ruled out destruction of cementite plates, higher temporary shear strength and conventional yield point, elongation, relaxation and antirust properties.
