FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to AC motor drive vehicles. Proposed power plant comprises auxiliary power supply connected to the circuit of intermediate link of the main inverter module. Voltage of said intermediate link is set subject to said main inverter module. Since main module load and losses formed in auxiliary power supply main circuit component increase cooling module should be increased in size. Main inverter module identifies low-speed and stop state by monitoring vehicle speed to vary intermediate link voltage depending upon vehicle speed. Loses in extra power supply main circuit component are decreased at low speed and stop whereat cooling capacity decreases.
EFFECT: decreased dimensions of cooling module.
