FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine timing gear valve consists of stem 1 changing smoothly over truncated cone generatrix into head 2 with working surface 3 to interact with seat 4 made in cylinder block 7. Several grooves 6 separated by curved ribs 5 are made at truncated cone generatrix over cone height. Grooves 6 feature radius differing in length over its length to decrease towards valve stem 1.

EFFECT: increased valve throat, uniform distribution of heat field over valve head.
