FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: thermal-contact interaction of working surfaces between brake pulleys and friction lining generates electric currents governed by sine law of flat electromagnetic wave variation at glow and spark discharge modes. Operating parameters of friction pairs vary in time with different amplitudes described for specific loads by period π, period of dynamic friction factor 2-π, period of surface temperature at heating and forced cooling π/2, as well as solitons, i.e. pulses with different wavelengths of period π in contact gap of friction pairs, wear of pulley rim working surface and that of friction lining π.

EFFECT: possibility to define operating parameters of friction pairs.
