FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in heavy-duty brake band-drum shoes. Proposed method consists in determination of braking moment at final stage of braking depending on the type of friction assemblies of this brake. Then, subject to required braking moment, preset diameter of brake pulley working surface is set.
EFFECT: possibility of determination of geometrical parameters subject to developed braking torque with due allowance for preset constraints on brake functions.
