SUBSTANCE: lens actuator has a lens holding element, a plurality of polymer actuating elements, each having a driving surface which is orthogonal to the optical axis of the lens and which are mounted such that corresponding driving surfaces lie opposite each other along the optical axis of the lens, as well as an element which directly or indirectly fixes one end of each polymer actuating element, and a connecting element which connects the other end of each polymer actuating element and the end portion of the lens holding element.

EFFECT: designing a lens actuator wherein the lens can move with good accuracy in the direction of its optical axis.
