DISPOSABLE CAP FOR CONTACT LENS ATTACHMENT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B19/02 A61B3/10

Abstract RU 2537775 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A disposable cap for a contact lens attachment of an ophthalmic imaging instrument comprises a flexible optical connection disk for contacting a patient's eye contact area and an mounting section. The disk is designed for mounting inside an aperture in the instrument body in the form of the contact lens surface deepened from the body to provide matching the patient's eye contact area and enabling the optical transmission of a lighting beam and an imaging beam in the instrument, and has an outer surface and an inner surface which adjoins tightly the contact lens surface. The mounting section is made of a less flexible material than that used for the optical connection section and pre-formed to match the outer surface of a cone-shaped peripheral end. A body of a disposable cap mounting instrument has a cylindrical hole with an inner surface. A cylindrical container of the mounting instrument has an inner surface and an upper supporting surface arranged inside the body hole to form a cavity between the inner and outer surfaces. The upper surface is designed for supporting the disposable cap and for retaining the sterile fluid filling the container cavity. The body section of the instrument surrounding the aperture is inclined from the aperture at a first angle A. Sides of the upper surface are inclined at an angle B smaller than the angle A. The tank is used to retain the sterile fluid displaced from the cylindrical containing as the lens attachment approaches the disposable cap.

EFFECT: using the invention provides a sterile barrier between the imaging instrument and patient with no losses of optical transparency.
