FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises an external container and an inner container, in which an item with a radioactive substance is arranged. The external container comprises a base and a cap, having a layer structure, and a ring damper connected to each other by fastening elements; an item with a radioactive substance is placed in a tight capsule installed in the inner container, between which there is a damping layer, comprising at least two location beds, at the same time the upper location bed has a spring element to press the capsule to the lower location bed, and the capsule has a nozzle for its filling with an inert gas. The layer structure of the outer container includes outer and inner metal shells with a layer of metal tiles enclosed between them and made in the form of rectangular segments of the cylinder.
EFFECT: increased resistance of a protective container to emergency factors of high intensity that occur during an accident with vehicles, for instance, an aircraft, in order to preserve the transported cargo.
